Accountability: November Goals (2022)

November Goals

I made an Instagram Reel documenting my  November goals and it occurred to me that I should write a post about them too. I used to share my goals monthly on my previous site, so why not bring that back, right? I love goal setting and reaching said goals, so here are my personal goals for November:

Workout 4x Per Week. I joined a CrossFit gym a couple of months ago and I’m absolutely loving it. It’s so great to be back in a gym lifting heavy weights. I’ve been getting back into the routine and my goal for October was 3x per week. I hit that more or less, so now I’m moving on to 4x per week in November. It’s fun to be getting strong again!

Read 3 Books. I have a goal of reading 26 books this year, and I’m at 21, so five more to go which is totally doable over the last two months of 2022. I’m just about finished with Everybody Always by Bob Goff which will be book number 22 and one of three for November. It is a MUST READ, by the way. I also have four books left on my 12 Books Recommended by Social Media challenge. Not sure I’ll wrap that up, but I’m going to give it the ‘ol college try! The Last Thing He Told Me is on that list and I think that’s what I’ll start once I finish Everybody Always.

Improve My Sleep Routine. Y’all, I have to get more sleep. I love to wake up early, but then I end up staying up far too late, writing and reading. I’m averaging around 5.5 hours of sleep a night. NOT ENOUGH. I’m starting to feel the effects of lack of sleep, so I’m making the effort to do something about it. My November goal is to take steps towards improving my sleep routine like leaving my phone in another room and physically getting into bed by 10:30 each night. Baby steps, but we’ll get there.

Begin Christmas Shopping. I love the holiday season, but I’ve had a habit of waiting until the last week or two before Christmas to do my shopping for no real reason other than just – not doing it. I’m dedicated to starting my shopping this month – already bought my first gift! – and getting the bulk of it done well before the holidays. It also helps that I don’t have to fly across the country this year to spend time with my family – I waited until I got to Virginia a few days before Christmas last year so I didn’t have to check a bag full of gifts!

Start Planning Montana Trip. I had the idea to go to Montana and get lost in the wilderness while walking down the steps of my apartment a couple of weeks ago and I’m leaning into it. I’ve been intrigued by the west for a while now and I love the thought of going out into the vastness of Montana, hiking, horseback riding, relaxing, and while I’m there, seeing what God has to say. My friend Kathryn is going to join me and I haven’t seen her in person in YEARS. We narrowed it down to Bozeman and Big Sky, and are now looking at lodging and flights. Cannot. Wait.

Finish My Home Office. My home office/spare bedroom is in shambles. My desk is sitting in the middle of the room, there are Christmas decorations piled in a corner, artwork leaning against the walls, and we can’t even talk about the closet. It’s a mess in there. The room also has some really great vibes and natural light however, and I want to work in there. I want to get it organized this month and make it feel more like the office it is meant to be.

Publish 2 Blogs Per Week. Pretty self-explanatory on this one. I’m getting into a good groove with my website and I’m planning to relaunch my coaching services in January among other fun projects (which is why I need that office organized!).

Sign Up for Golf Lessons. I’ve been dragging my feet on this one, but golf lessons is one of my next right things and I need to get those lessons on the books. This is the month I do it – I have all the info, just need to make the booking. No excuses!

There we have it – my November Goals. All doable, all in alignment with the person I’m growing into. What are your November goals?
