I’m a marketing consultant by day, working with clients on everything from branding to messaging to launch strategy, but doing that for myself? It’s a tough hang sometimes. And yet, it must be done, I suppose. For months, my blue and pink brand colors haven’t felt right. Pretty, but not right. For the last several weeks, I’ve tried dozens of color combinations, searching for the perfect palette. I tell clients in the branding phase to lean into colors that speak to them, colors that mean something. Eventually, I took my own advice and found exactly the right branding. Every color means something. Every color feels right. August was a whirlwind. New city, new loft, new jo August was a whirlwind. New city, new loft, new job working for myself, new studio, new people, new streets, new EVERYTHING. I cried some. I smiled a lot. I laughed a lot. I read a lot. I stitched a lot. And I finally got to write a lot. 💕 Here’s a photo dump of only a part of what is one of the wildest months of my life so far, from empty spaces to first meals in living room floors, to Griff and needlepoint and so many books.
One year of STRICTLY BUSINESS!! 🎉 This book is so One year of STRICTLY BUSINESS!! 🎉 This book is so special to me and in a lot of ways, it means the most to me. I was originally planning to release it in March 2025. I announced it, even had preorders for it. A few weeks before the release, I had to admit it wasn’t going to happen. I was deeply burned out from my full time job, bone weary, and my creativity felt wrung out. I was spending what little free time I had staring at the walls and not doing any of the things I love. I vividly remember sharing that the book would be delayed. I was sitting on a lunge next to a peaceful ocean view in Grand Turk when I pushed publish. It was such a paradox to be so deeply exhausted while sitting in paradise with some of my best friends. STRICTLY BUSINESS isn’t perfect, but I’m so proud of it. I released it to prove I could, and this little book, inspired by my own escapades of living in Nashville, working in the music industry, and dating singers and songwriters has exceeded my quiet expectations. There’s more green in there than I thought there would be… We don’t talk about what’s on the Kindle…👀 How do you track your books?

You mean to tell me a new fantasy-focused bookstor You mean to tell me a new fantasy-focused bookstore is opening and I can walk to it?! The only way it could be better is if they sold coffee. Oh wait, they do! And flowers, too. 😍 I stopped by @wc.leavesandlore during their soft grand opening (while I was supposed to be writing book 4 in the Political Gain series 🤷‍♀️) and it’s absolutely perfect. I picked up a couple of books for my new shelves, too because of course I did. 💁‍♀️ I’ll see you at their grand opening on August 22!
