I’m a goals person. I like writing them down, tracking them, seeing them come to fruition. I’m a sucker for books like The Desire Map or Start Where You Are. I’ve printed and filled out the Lululemon goals worksheets countless times. It finally hit me that those “monthly goals” blog posts I see bloggers like Angie posting are perfect for me. What better way to write down my monthly goals – and hold myself accountable – than to post them for all the world to see?
I’m going to make this a new monthly series – I’ll post my monthly goals at the beginning of the month, and an update on how I did with them at the end of the month.
Let’s do it.
- Finish the first Game of Thrones book
- Complete 5 of the 7 training modules left for my personal training certification
- Take 4 barre classes a week
- Don’t miss a lifting session
- Try 3 new recipes
- Choose my next trip destination
- Blog 15 times
- Start a bullet journal
Some of these goals are extremely obtainable, particularly the barre and lifting ones, as there are few places I’d rather be than the studio or The Gym. Finish Game of Thrones and blogging 15 times will require a little more effort, given my schedule. If I could sit around and do nothing but read about Jon Snow and blog all day, I would. This whole working thing really cramps my style sometimes…
I’m looking forward to reporting back on my September goals progress. I’m really looking forward to reading more Jon Snow. I’ve never seen an episode of Game of Thrones, but I absolutely have a crush on the book version of him.
What are your goals this September?
Also – bullet journals. Do any of you keep them? Any resources you love to get me started? I’ve got the blank journal and the pens ready!
