I hate those stories. They make it seem like sitting down to a holiday meal or enjoying passed hor devours and a glass of wine at a Christmas party is a terrible thing.
The holidays are about togetherness. Celebrating. Enjoying the company of friends and loved ones.
The holidays are not about worrying about how many calories you ingested or thinking about how many minutes you’ll need to log on the Peloton to burn off dessert before its even served.
I get it though. Last year was the first Thanksgiving I didn’t head to a gym, barre studio, or spin studio to ensure I started my day in a calorie deficit. I even ran a 5K one year, and y’all know how I feel about running.
I want to let you in on a secret.
One day of holiday eating won’t ruin your progress. A few days of holiday eating won’t ruin your progress. Healthy living is about long term consistency, not perfection.
That’s why I’m launching my first ever group coaching program this holiday season.
The Strong By Sarah Four Week Holiday Challenge will kick off December 2 and for the next four weeks, we’ll focus on creating healthy – sustainable – habits while still enjoying the holiday season, Christmas cookies and all.

I’m making it even sweeter.
10% of each enrollment fee will go to a fund to help pay off student lunch debts. Too often, news headlines tell of students being denied lunch due to owing school debts. In many cases, school lunch is the one guaranteed meal a child may have that day and absolutely no child should go hungry. Children facing hunger may struggle in school and are more likely to repeat a grade in elementary school, experience developmental impairments, or have more social and behavioral problems according to Feeding America.
That means $7.90 of each enrollment fee will go towards paying off lunches at a local school. Depending on the school system, that could be as many as four lunches per person. It may not seem like a lot, but a little makes a big difference, and one life changed is worth it.
